பாகீரதி - பாகம் 4 : முயற்சி திருவினையாக்கும் (Persevere & Prevail)

 

கபில முனிவர்.  திருமாலின் அவதாரமாகவே போற்றப்படுபவர். ஞானம் மற்றும் தர்மத்தை போதிக்க பிறந்தவர். 'முனிவர்களில் நான் கபிலனாக இருக்கிறேன்' என்று கீதையில், கிருஷ்ண பரமாத்வால் கூறப்பட்ட பெருமைக்குரியவர். காலத்திற்கு அப்பாற்பட்டு சிரஞ்ஜீவியாக வாழ்ந்து கொண்டிருப்பதாக நம்பப்படுபவர். இதை விளக்கமாக கூற வேண்டும் என்றால்,  நாம் காலத்திற்குள் சற்று முன் நோக்கி செல்ல வேண்டும். 

பரப்ரஹ்மமமாகிய நாராயணனிடம் இருந்து அண்டங்கள் உருவாகி, ஒவ்வொரு அண்டத்திற்கும் ஒரு பிரம்ம தேவர் பிறக்கிறார். படைப்பு பிரம்மனிடம்  இருந்து தொடங்குகிறது. பிரம்ம தேவர் தன்னுடைய மனதில் இருந்து சனகாதி முனிவர்கள் என்று சொல்லக்கூடிய நான்கு குமாரர்களை படைக்கிறார். படைப்புத்தொழிலில் உதவி புரிய படைக்கப்பட்ட அவர்கள் அதில் நாட்டமில்லாது மோட்சமடையும் வழியை தேடிச் சென்று விடுகின்றனர். அதன் பின்பு தன் மனம் மற்றும் உடலின் பாகங்களிலிருந்து இருந்து ப்ரஜாபதிகள் என்று சொல்லப்படக்கூடிய புத்திரர்களை உருவாக்கினார். மூன்றாவதாக தன் உடலை இரண்டு பாகங்களாக பிரித்து சுவாயம்புவ மனு என்ற ஆணையும் சதரூபை என்கிற பெண்ணையும் படைத்தார். இவர்களே நம்முடைய பூமியின் முதல் தம்பதி. இந்த தம்பதிகளில் இருந்து மனிதகுலம் உருவாகிறது. ப்ரஜாபதிகளில் இருந்து தேவதைகள், ரிஷிகள், தேவ, அசுரர்கள் பிறக்கிறார்கள். முதல் மனு, இவ்வுலகின் முதல் அரசன் ஆகிறார். அவருடைய சந்ததி வளர்ந்து மொத்தம் 14 மனுக்கள் தோன்றுவார்கள். ஒவ்வொரு மனுவுக்கும் 71 சதுர்யுகங்கள் ஆட்சிக்காலம். 14 மனுக்களின் ஆட்சி முடியும் பொழுது, பிரம்மதேவருக்கு ஒரு பகல் (கல்பம்) முடிவடைந்து, அதாவது 1000 சதுர்யுகங்கள் முடிவடைந்து இருக்கும். நம்முடைய மனித ஆண்டுகளின் கணக்கின் படி சுமார் 4.32 பில்லியன் ஆண்டுகள். மனித புத்திக்கு அப்பாற்பட்ட ப்ரம்மாண்டம் இது. 

முதல் மனு தம்பதிக்கு 2 மகன்கள் மற்றும் 3 மகள்கள். ப்ரியவ்ரதன், உத்தானபாதன் மற்றும் ஆஹுதி, தேவஹூதி, ப்ரஸூதி. ப்ரம்மாவின் நிழலிலிருந்து பிறந்த கர்த்தம ப்ரஜாபதிக்கும், தேவஹூதிக்கும் திருமணம் நடந்தது. அவர்களுக்கு 9 மகள்களும் ஒரே ஒரு மகனும் பிறந்தார்கள். அவரே கபிலர். பிறப்பிலேயே ஞானம் நிறைந்தவர். கபிலர் முதல் மனுவின் ஆட்சிக்காலத்தில் பிறந்தவர். சகர மன்னர் 7 ஆவது மனுவான வைவஸ்தவ மனுவின் ஆட்சிக்காலத்தில் பிறந்தவர். இதிலிருந்து கபிலமுனிவர் காலங்களுக்கு அப்பாற்பட்ட சிரஞ்சீவி என்று தெரிகிறது. 

நித்ய சிரஞ்சீவியும், பெரும் தவவலிமை பெற்றவரும் , நாராயணின் அம்சமுமான கபிலரின் சாபம் என்பது நிச்சயம் திரும்ப பெற முடியாத ஒன்று. தன் சித்தப்பாக்கள் 6௦௦௦௦ பேரையும் தேடி பாதாள லோகம் வந்த சகரனின் பேரனாகிய அன்சுமான், தன் குல முன்னோராகிய கருடனை சந்திக்கிறார். ஆகாயத்தில் வாழ்ந்து வரும் கங்கை, பூமிக்கு வந்து , இறந்தவர்களின் பஸ்பத்தை நனைத்தால் மட்டுமே அவர்களுக்கு விமோசனம் என்று கருடன் வழி கூறி செல்கிறார். ஆனால் ஆகாய கங்கையை பூமிக்கு வரவழைக்க வழி புரியாத அன்சுமான் வேதனையுடன் திரும்பிச்செல்கிறான். அன்சுமானுக்கு பிறகு அவரின் மகன் திலீபன் முயற்சியும் தோல்வியில் முடிந்தது. திலீபனின் மகனான பகீரதன் ஆட்சியை தன் மக்களிடம் ஒப்படைத்து விட்டு, தங்கள்  பிதாமகரான பிரம்மதேவரை நோக்கி தவம் செய்ய புறப்பட்டார். சூரியனையும் சேர்த்து 4 திசைக்கும் 4 அக்கினி என்று 5 அக்கினிகளுக்கு நடுவே நின்ற வண்ணம் கைகளை கூப்பி கடும் தவம் செய்தார். ப்ரம்ம தேவரை மகிழ்விப்பது என்பது எளிதில் நடக்காத ஒன்று. பல்லாயிரம் ஆண்டுகள் தவத்தின் பலனாக, ப்ரம்ம தேவர் பகீரதன் முன்பு தோன்றினார். அவனின் தூய நோக்கத்தையும் நம்பிக்கையையும் உணர்ந்த விஷ்ணு புத்திரனாகிய பிரம்மன் , கங்கை பூமிக்கு வர வரம் நல்கினார். ஆனால் அதில் உள்ள ஒரே பிரச்சனை என்னவென்றால், ஆகாய கங்கை பூமியில் இறங்க நேர்ந்தால்  பூலோகமே வெடித்து சிதறும் நிலை தான் ஏற்படும். இதற்கு ஒருவரால் மட்டுமே உதவ முடியும் என்று அறிந்த பிரம்மதேவர் , அந்த உபாயத்தையும் சொல்லி விட்டு சென்றார். யார் அந்த ஒருவர்? அடுத்த பதிவுக்கு காத்திருங்கள்.

Kapila Muni — He is revered as an incarnation of Lord Vishnu. He was born to teach wisdom and righteousness (Dharma). In the Bhagavad Gita, Lord Krishna says, "Among sages, I am Kapila," giving him great distinction. It is believed that he lives beyond time as a Chiranjivi (Immortal being).

To explain this in detail, we must travel slightly back in time.

From Narayana, the Supreme Brahman, countless universes are created. For each universe, a Brahma is born. Creation begins with Brahma. From his mind, Brahma creates the four sages known as the Sanakaadi Munis (Sanaka, Sanandana, Sanatana, Sanatkumara). Though created to assist in creation, they show no interest in worldly creation and instead seek liberation (moksha).

After this, Brahma creates sons known as Prajapatis from parts of his mind and body. Thirdly, he divides his body into two parts and creates a man named Swayambhuva Manu and a woman named Shatarupa. They are considered the first couple on Earth, and humanity originates from them. From the Prajapatis emerge gods, sages, devas, and asuras.

The first Manu becomes the first king of the world. From his lineage, a total of 14 Manus appear. Each Manu rules for 71 Chaturyugas. When the reign of 14 Manus ends, one daytime (Kalpa) of Brahma concludes — that is 1000 Chaturyugas, which equals approximately 4.32 billion human years. This vast scale is beyond human comprehension.

The first Manu couple had two sons and three daughters: Priyavrata, Uttanapada, and daughters Ahuti, Devahuti, and Prasuti. Kardama Prajapati, born from Brahma's shadow, married Devahuti. They had nine daughters and one son — that son was Kapila. He was filled with wisdom from birth.

Kapila was born during the reign of the first Manu. King Sagara was born during the reign of the seventh Manu, Vaivasvata Manu. From this, it is understood that Kapila Muni lived beyond time as a Chiranjivi.

Kapila, who is eternal, powerful in penance, and an aspect of Narayana, had a curse that could never be reversed.

Anshuman, the grandson of King Sagara, came to the netherworld (Patala) searching for his 60,000 uncles. There he met Garuda, his ancestor. Garuda told him that only if the celestial river Ganga, flowing in the heavens, descends to Earth and touches the ashes of the dead, they would attain liberation. However, Anshuman could not find a way to bring Ganga to Earth and returned in sorrow.

After Anshuman, his son Dilipa also tried and failed. Then Dilipa's son Bhagiratha handed over his kingdom to his people and set out to perform penance to please Brahma, their forefather. He performed severe penance standing amidst five fires — four fires in the four directions and the sun above — with folded hands.

Pleasing Brahma is not easy. After thousands of years of penance, Brahma appeared before Bhagiratha. Recognizing his pure intention and faith, Brahma granted the boon that Ganga would descend to Earth.

However, there was one problem — if the celestial Ganga descended directly to Earth, the world would shatter due to the force. Knowing that only one person could help with this, Brahma explained the solution and departed.
